Munich, Germany – Trombia Technologies has unveiled its latest innovation at IFAT 2024: a radar system designed for autonomous street sweepers, now compliant to meet the ISO 3691-4 safety standard. This system is engineered to ensure robust, standard-compliant operation in industrial areas, where both manned and unmanned traffic coexist.
Now in series production, the Trombia FREE autonomous street sweeping system adheres to European safety and operational standards, including the Machinery Directive, Low Voltage and EMC Directive. It meets the following specific standards:
- Machinery Directive
- ISO 12100
- ISO 13849
- 2001/95/EC Low Voltage Directive
- 2014/30/EU EMC Directive
- ISO 3691-4 concerning driverless industrial trucks and their systems
Additionally, the system’s associated fully automated emptying and docking station has been updated to comply with EN 1570-1:2011 safety standards. This certification ensures the entire system is suitable for deployment in safety-critical industrial settings.
“This makes a significant milestone in the path of automating industrial district working machines. For Trombia FREE this was the last milestone to unlock full scale distribution to industrial hubs and we are excited to start it at IFAT 2024”
