What you’ll do

The role combines technical commissioning, customer service work, machine operation and technical problem solving.

As part of the team, your responsibilities include:

• Commissioning Trombia Free machines at customer sites.
• Remote operation of autonomous work machines and monitoring machine performance in various working environments and on different continents.
• Operating the machines and carrying out the work as part of customer projects and commissioning.
• Monitoring machine performance, fault diagnosis and solving technical problems.
• Training customers and end users, and providing technical support.
• Systematically channeling feedback and observations from the field into product development.
• Testing new software, automation and hardware versions.

The work takes place both in Finland and at international customer sites. The role involves travel, typically 1–3 week assignments, as well as commissioning, machine operation and remote operation carried out in the evening and at night.

What we expect from you

You are a hands-on technical professional who wants to understand how the machine works as a whole and to solve problems where they happen.

You have:

• a suitable engineering degree (Bachelor’s/UAS or Master’s) in, for example, electrical, automation, electronics, mechanical or vehicle engineering
• experience in electrical engineering, automation, robotics, vehicles, software or machine assembly
• good, systematic fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills
• the ability to work independently and take responsibility
• excellent teamwork and communication skills
• experience in customer service work
• excellent English skills
• enthusiasm and willingness to travel internationally and to work varying hours, including night work.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience with electric work machines, heavy equipment, autonomous systems or commissioning tasks. We also value programming skills and knowledge of the Linux operating system.

You don’t need to know everything already — curiosity, readiness for field work, a customer-oriented approach, technical problem-solving ability and a desire to learn matter most to us. About the role

In this role you take on a central position in Trombia’s continued establishment and growth in the Swedish market. You become an important part of the customer experience and are responsible for ensuring that Trombia’s customers receive the right assistance, service and technical support from the moment the machine is delivered and throughout its entire lifespan. Trombia is therefore looking for someone who wants to work close to advanced technology and innovative machines while being driven by creating world-class customer experiences.

You will be an important person on that journey.

You work closely with Trombia’s Sales Director and become a key technical link between customers, sales and the product organisation. The role is hands-on and involves, among other things, troubleshooting, installation and support within mechanics, hydraulics and electronics.

The role is based in Stockholm and involves regular travel, primarily within Sweden and Norway.

Responsibilities

You will, among other things:

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems within mechanics, hydraulics and electronics
• Carry out installations and commissioning of machines and equipment
• Support customers, technicians and operators with technical questions and problems
• Visit customers and partners on site for troubleshooting, service and support
• Ensure that the right spare parts and components are available when needed
• Document technical problems and solutions, and identify recurring areas for improvement
• Act as a link between customer experiences and Trombia’s product development
• Contribute to developing service and support processes as the business grows

We are looking for someone who

• Has relevant post-secondary education
• Has 3–5 years of experience in technical work, for example as a service engineer, field technician, mechanic or similar
• Has broad practical experience of mechanics and hydraulics
• Has experience of installation, assembly, service or troubleshooting of machines, vehicles or other technical equipment
• Has a basic understanding of electronics and electrical service work
• Holds a category B driving licence
• Speaks and writes fluent Swedish and English
• Has the opportunity and willingness to travel regularly as part of the job (50–100 travel days per year)

To succeed in the role, we believe you are a curious and solution-oriented person who enjoys understanding how things work and takes on technical problems methodically. You are self-driven and comfortable taking responsibility, making your own decisions and moving work forward even when routines and processes are still being developed. At the same time, you have a clear customer focus and understand the importance of being able to communicate technical matters simply and clearly.
